Volvo V60 drops to 103g/km

Date: 14 May 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

The Volvo V60 is now the cleanest premium upper medium car at 103g/km

Volvo has introduced a series of updates for its larger cars, resulting in big drops in CO2 across the board.

BusinessCar first broke the news of the changes and styling updates in our 5 March issue, which at the time pegged the upper medium S60 at 106g/km in its cleanest 1.6-litre D2 form.

Since then the vehicles have undergone further tweaks and the S60 has dropped a further 3g/km to 103g/km, dropping it a further BIK band to 14% and rendering it the most efficient model in the premium upper medium sector.

It usurps long-time class-leader the BMW 3-series Efficient Dynamics at 109g/km.

The updates also see the V60 estate drop to a low of 108g/km, the V70 estate to 111g/km and the S80 executive saloon to 109g/km.

In addition, DAB radio will be standard on all models fitted with Volvo's Sensus infotainment system when first deliveries of the refreshed range take place in July.
