Our dedicated annual awards celebrating technology in the fleet industry have returned for 2014 and they're included in our milestone 200th issue.
This year marks the sixth annual appearance of the BusinessCar Fleet Technology Awards, and the Techies, as they're more commonly known, continue to celebrate the best there is in modern, practical and evolutionary methods of operating vehicles for commercial purposes.
Judged by BusinessCar's expert editorial panel with decades of industry experience behind them, the team's knowledge of the latest developments mean they recognise a clever and useful product when they see it. Their decisions ensure that the results highlight the things that really matter to the fleet community.
We feel the categories this year accurately reflect the way in which the industry is heading, but we have also added an Editor's Choice Award, special new prize for an entry we felt deserved extra recognition.
Each of this year's winners and those who achieved Highly Commended spots (we awarded up to two when the calibre of entries was particularly high) can be proud that their developments are the most useful, helpful and worthwhile to fleet operators and that they have genuinely moved the game along.
