Insignia wins European award by one point

Vauxhall's Insignia has been named as the European Car of the Year for 2009, beating the Ford Fiesta by just one point.
The awards are judged by 59 journalists across Europe.
It amassed 321 points from the judges, narrowly beating the Fiesta into second place with 320. The sixth generation of Volkswagen's Golf came in third with 223 points.
The upper-medium car, aimed squarely at the fleet market, was ranked number one by 20 of the judges, with the Fiesta winning top spot from 19 adjudicators.
The Citroen C5 came in fourth with 198 points, followed by the Alfa Romeo Mito (148) the Skoda Superb (144) and the Renault Megane (121).
