Seat names its new Mondeo rival

Date: 23 June 2008

Seat has revealed Exeo as the name of its upper medium player set to replace the Toledo.

The name Exeo, derived from the Latin word exire meaning 'to go beyond' or 'to go further', marks a move away from its tradition of using Spanish place names for its cars.

The Exeo, set to rival the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Insignia, is expected to arrive as a saloon in 2009 with an estate version following later.
