I'm not that happy with average fuel economy of 48.5mpg for our 6, which is just the wrong side of 50mpg for a car with an official figure well above 60mpg.
And I've spent the vast proportion of the first 12,000 miles driving in a most saintly way, too.
I have, however, discovered that if you go above 60mph the consumption deteriorates rapidly, which is an issue given the motorway miles I do, and also that mpg is gradually improving, and I'm now seeing more tank fills above 50mpg than below.
Hopefully, a service and oil change, due shortly, will help even more.
