Awards 2011 - Risk Management: RAC Business Solutions

Date: 25 January 2011

With risk management increasingly important in the modern business car environment, it is to RAC Business Solutions' credit that it has grabbed this award in 2011.

The firm claims it can help reduce accidents by up to 70%, which will have an impact upon a company's bottom line. Customers are offered a full RAC safety audit, before the company's experts determine a complete risk management strategy.

A third stage of risk management includes workshops, practical programmes on-road training and seminar sessions to ensure the message is being reinforced.

The safety audit looks at a business's current procedures, before helping develop new policies, ensure practices meet legal obligations and simplifying documentation through the use of RAC templates.

RAC?Business Solutions has also launched its Driver Compliance Check, which checks each driver's licence with the DVLA up to four times per year. Clients get a bespoke report on the status of each driver, with RAC also making recommendations for practical programmes to help improve safety for those deemed most at risk.

The firm claims its approach helps decrease accident rates, and fuel, operating and insurance costs, and it also offers a free mini safety audit on its website, aimed at illustrating the wide range of issues that come under the risk management banner, covering everything from staff pre-appointment and induction through to vehicle checks and disciplinary action.
