Carbon offset cash can go to wind farms, water pumps and energy efficient stoves
Two travel giants have joined forces to offset the carbon emissions of bookings made until 8 January 2009.
Europe's largest car rental firm and bargain flight provider Easyjet will offset the carbon emissions of any rental booking made through Easyjet's website.
A spokesman for Europcar said: "For each rental reserved during that period, Europcar and easyJet will make a financial contribution to projects of ClimateCare, a leading global carbon offset provider. The financial support will be used to fund activities to combat climate change and reduce emissions. With experts in London, Mauritius, Nairobi, New York, Oxford, Sydney, Santiago and Ankara, UK-based ClimateCare has over 50 projects across the developing world, funding low carbon technologies with social and environmental benefits."
