Europcar and NCR merge to create super-fleet

Date: 25 March 2008

Europcar and National Car Rental (NCR) have combined their fleets and made them available from a wider network of locations.

The merging comes as a result of last year's acquisition of NCR by Europcar, and sees the creation of a fleet of 60,000 vehicles.

The fleet, claimed to be the largest in daily rental in the UK, includes 6000 vans.

Europcar customers will now have access to Guy Salmon's luxury and prestige cars and sub-contracted vehicles through National's Specialist Vehicle Management Centre.

Europcar has also appointed David McNeill as its new Corporate Sales Director.

McNeill moves to the position from his role of heading the International corporate sales team for NCR.
