VW and Ford take ACFO awards

Volkswagen and Ford have retained their respective car and van of the year awards in ACFO's 2008 gongs.
VW's Golf took the "Fleet Car of the Year" award for the second year in a row, while the Ford Transit continued its success in the van category.
The Transit Connect took the "Fleet Light Van of the Year" award for the sixth time, while the Ford Transit took the "Fleet Panel Van of the Year" title for the 14th consecutive year.
VW fleet boss Vince Kinner said: "It is a tremendous honour for the Golf to receive this award - made particularly special given the strength of the competition in this market."
Ford's director of fleet operations Kevin Griffin said: "We are aware that there is a great deal of choice in the marketplace and to be voted best Fleet Panel Van and best Fleet Light Van by the members of ACFO makes us very proud of our investment."
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Sutton Coldfield on 26 November.
