The start point for the best source of fleet information

Shell signs up with Texaco

Date: 31 January 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Shell is to allow its customers to use their fuel cards at Texaco stations, though the firm was unable to confirm when in 2012 the agreement will commence.

The company has signed an agreement with Valero Energy, which sells fuel through Texaco sites. The agreement will also allow Euroshell card users to purchase fuel from Total and Esso sites in the UK.

The move opens up a significantly broader remit for UK business car drivers, who previously had to make do with around 900 Shell filling stations. Over 1000 Texaco sites and in excess of 1600 Esso and Total stations are now available to them.

This comes in the wake of an upgrade to Shell's fuel cards in 2011, allowing customers to use their cards to pay for the M6 toll road charge.
