Honda wins 'most reliable' award

Date: 07 August 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Honda has been named the most reliable car manufacturer in the annual What Car? and Warranty Direct reliability survey. This year's gong marks an eighth consecutive win for the Japanese firm, which received the award based on reviews and opinions from 50,000 car owners.

The firm's Jazz supermini and lower medium Insight were also recently praised for reliability by consumer group Which?.

Phil Crossman, managing director of Honda UK, said: "Reliability is at the heart of all our research, development and manufacturing processes and this ensures we build reliable and high quality cars."

The results come following the firm's efforts to better establish itself in the fleet sector, with 94g/km and 119g/km versions of the lower medium Civic (pictured) and CR-V SUV respectively, courtesy of its 1.6-litre diesel engine.
