Our long-term Exeo hasn't yet undertaken the labrador plus buggy test in the boot, but early indicators suggest it is smaller than expected for an estate.
There is 442 litres of space in the boot and 1354 litres with the seats down. Indeed, this is noticeably smaller than two key rivals, the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer and the Mazda 6 estate, which have 540 and 519 litres respectively.
The only other qualm is the lack of a inner handle to shut the boot - which means getting my hands dirty pulling the boot down from the outside.
