Alfa Romeo reveals pictures of baby Mito

Date: 17 March 2008

Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo has released pictures of the new smallest car in its range - the Mito.

At 4.06 metres long, the Mito is aiming to slot into the supermini segment and challenge the likes of the Mini and parent company Fiat's 500.

Alfa will be hoping the Mito can match these two cars in terms of driving ability and will be fitting it with its new DNA system. This will enable the driver to choose three different driving settings, affecting the engine, brakes, steering, suspension and gearbox.

The Mito will be introduced with both petrol and diesel engines ranging in power from 91-157PS. Further higher-powered engines are planned for the future.

Alfa is expected to release the Mito in the UK early in 2009 with further details expected when it is unveiled in June.
