Vauxhall Combo details emerge

Date: 27 July 2011

Vauxhall has confirmed its new Combo will be launched next year, coming with two wheelbases, roof heights of 1.85m and 2.10m and a choice of four engines - 90hp 1.3, 90 and 105hp 1.6 and 135hp 2.0, and all with stop-start technology. There's also a six-speed Techshift automatic version with the 1.6 engines.

The new combo will be built in Turkey as part of Vauxhall's joint development agreement with Fiat, and offers a maximum one-tonne payload, as well as 3.4cu/m of load space in short-wheelbase form or 4.2cu/m in the long-wheelbase version. One or two sliding side doors will be optional extras.

More details, including pictures, will be released closer to launch.
