Fiat set for fleet marketing push

Date: 09 July 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Fiat is gearing up to increase its presence in the UK fleet market in autumn.

Speaking exclusively to BusinessCar, Rob Lake, senior product manager at Fiat UK, said that the company is intending to appeal to businesses based on the fact that it now has a collection of very clean small cars: "The fleet guys are gearing up for a push around September time when new registrations come in.

"We'll then be marketing the fact that we've got three models [the 500, Panda and Punto] with engines under 100g/km."

Lake admitted the firm is not a big player in the business car market but said he was hopeful that the move would bring improvements.
