Exeo range could grow to Ecomotive, FR or quattro

Date: 07 November 2008

Seat Exeo

Seat is looking at expanding its Exeo range beyond the two bodystyles and three engine options that will launch next year.

Already confirmed in addition to the one petrol and two diesel engines is an automatic gearbox coming late next year, likely to be mated to the 143PS diesel, with a range of additional developments under consideration.

These include four-wheel drive, possible thanks to the Exeo's Audi A4 underpinnings, as well as a low-CO2 Ecomotive version, a lower-powered 120PS diesel, FR performance version and other larger V6 engines.

Seat UK has, though, confirmed it will introduce a well-equipped flagship model that will sit above the three standard S, SE and Sport trim levels.

After guidance from the RV providers, who were shown the car late last month, the Spanish brand is also looking at differentiating the Sport specification with a bodykit.
