Salary sacrifice scheme offers 10% employee discount

Date: 15 May 2014

A new salary-sacrifice scheme has been launched promising rates that are 10% cheaper than "conventional schemes".

Fleet management firm Fleet Logistics says it achieves the discounts by allowing providers to bid for the business, a move it describes as "the first of its kind".

Known as Fleet Benefit, the programme is said to be best suited to firms with at least 500 staff, but is open to organisations of any size. The vehicles supplied include fully comprehensive business insurance,
road fund licence, breakdown cover, and full servicing and maintenance.

Stuart Donnelly, Fleet Logistics' chief regional officer for Europe North, said: "Our new scheme is an extremely attractive proposition for employees as we are using multi-bidding to select the most competitive rates from our panel of funders.

As a result, it can form a key part of a company's benefits package in order to attract new staff, while also motivating and retaining existing staff.

"When it comes to servicing the vehicles, all employees have access to the Fleet Logistics service network with one point of contact, and there is European coverage of the scheme with full European reporting."
