It's time to be picky. The digital radio in the 520d Business Edition isn't as good as rival systems' DAB radios.
Now admittedly I've only limited experience in this area, but the reception in the BMW isn't as good as my previous long termer, a Volvo XC60, or as good our Jag XF (which has a digital radio as standard).
BMW's system may cost £305, less than half the Volvo's price, but it has a habit of cutting out momentarily in areas of poor reception. This is something the Volvo's radio only did in one area of limited digital coverage. Maybe I should try using AM again.
