After the shock of paying for new front brake pads, the 520d Touring has returned to normal and has been doing what it was designed to.
Over Easter it took the entire family Young from the South East to Northumberland - and that meant packing two adults, two kids and three dogs into the estate plus enough luggage for almost a week. The 520d did it in style, and had the dogs not been occupying half the boot I could have drawn the luggage shut thanks to the huge 500-litre boot. The 700-mile round trip also saw a healthy 43mpg in fuel economy. Impressive stuff.
