We can conclusively report that the SOS call function on our 320d ED works perfectly. Our publishing boss borrowed the car recently and found himself bemused when, after briefly turning his back when it was parked, he found his young son chatting to the emergency services operator after pushing the SOS button. Not only did the system call the operator without being connected to a mobile phone, it also provided the car's exact coordinates. Despite his red-faced reaction when he twigged what was going on, the boss was impressed with the system's speed and precision.
