The start point for the best source of fleet information

Awards 2008 - Executive: Audi A6

Date: 22 January 2008

Audi A6

Audi's A6 took well over a quarter of the votes to win the Executive Car award and topple the BMW 5-series' four-year reign at the top of this sector.

An increase of more than 50% in the fleet sector for the A6 in 2007 took its fleet sales well over the 10,000 mark. In the executive sector it took first place too, with more than a quarter of the market; an impressive feat given the ultra-tough competition.

Audi hasn't let the A6 range stand still in the past year. In the last quarter of the year the German prestige brand added a new, super-efficient 2.8-litre petrol engine which is not only clean, thanks to a CO2 figure which beats the impending £25 London C-charge band, but is also powerful, at 210PS.

And if power's your thing, then the outlook for the A6 range is sparkling for 2008. The supercar-quick RS6, which has 580PS on tap, is due in the next few months.
